Travelers' Map is a free WordPress plugin designed to enhance blog posts by geolocating them on a dynamic map using Leaflet and OpenStreetMap data. This tool allows users to visually represent their content on an interactive platform, making it easy to locate specific posts by utilizing a search module. Users can customize marker images and insert maps into their posts with a simple shortcode, adjusting the map's dimensions to fit their design needs.
The plugin offers several filtering options, allowing users to display posts based on their type, categories, and tags. It automatically clusters markers to reduce overlap when markers are densely packed. Travelers' Map is compatible with both the Gutenberg and classic editors, and it does not create additional database tables. Users can maintain their geolocation data even if the plugin is disabled, with an option to clean up data upon permanent uninstallation.
